An electronic forum hosted by the ENERGIA International Secretariat is used to facilitate and support participants to practice their newly acquired knowledge and skills and collaborate with the online coaches. All participants are members of the e-forum and are able to communicate with each other and with the coaches through the forum. 

The content of the coaching and exchange within the group is based on the gender action plans developed during the national training, and updated prior to the return workshop. The action plans focus on how to apply gender tools, knowledge and skills into energy projects. The coaching is interactive and both participants and coaches bring their experiences, expertise, ideas and needs to the coaching process. With such an environment the role of the coaches is to support, motivate and encourage the participants to implement their gender action plans.

Coaches

The coaching is led by a team of three gender/energy/poverty experts who have experience with working on energy projects and facilitating online discussions.  The team lead coach is Ms Indira Shakya, ENERGIA Technical Advisor, supported by Ms Nozipho Wright the ENERGIA Africa Regional Network Coordinator, and Ms Anja Panjwani, the ENERGIA Africa Desk Officer at the Secretariat.
